3) DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE SERVICE CALL IF I
DECIDE
TO REPLACE THE MACHINE INSTEAD OF
ORDERING PARTS AND FIXING IT?
YES,YOU MUST PAY FOR ANY SERVICE ORDERED
EVEN
IF YOU DECIDE TO REPLACE THE MACHINE INSTEAD
OF COMPLETEING THE REPAIRS.
All SERVICE IS "Best EFFORTS" time + parts
basis.
YOU PAY FOR THE CALL, EVEN IF THE MACHINE CANNOT BE
REPAIRED OR YOU DECIDE IT IS CHEAPER TO REPLACE THE
MACHINE.
4) HOW DO MAINTENANCE CONTRACTS WORK?
YOU PAY ONCE PER YEAR.
5) DO YOU SERVICE INKJET PRINTERS?
Yes,
usually only high end printers and plotters
justify the cost of service + parts.
If you have a $200 printer, it's
cheaper to
replace it than waste your time calling for
service.
6) DO YOU SERVICE PLOTTERS?
Yes, we
may need to order manuals before making
a plotter service call.
7) DO YOU HAVE FREE ESTIMATES OR FREE "LOOKS"
NO, we charge for visits. We will give you
prices and estimates of cost over the phone.
8) WILL YOU SERVICE
ODD BRAND OR OBSOLETE PRINTERS?
Yes, we will attempt to service any computer or
printer as long as service manuals
and parts are
availiable.
9)DO YOU HAVE FLATE RATES OR OTHER BAIT AND SWITCH GIMICKS?
NO, some companys claim to have flat rates, then
after the repair they add 50 extra or other charges
or they say $50 flate + parts then after they install
new parts they tell you OH PARTS ARE $1000.
IF IT'S TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT'S NOT!!!!
10) ARE HP MAINTENANCE KITS NECESSARY?
Usually not, unless everything in a printer is worn out.
SOME COMPANYS IMMEDIATELY TELL YOU:
" YOU NEED A MAINTENANCE KIT!"
A MAINTENANCE KIT CONTAINS ALMOST EVERYTHING
IN A PRINTER THAT CAN WEAR OUT, AND USUALLY
COST $300 TO $700 DOLLARS!
THEY DO NOT TELL YOU THE COST OF THE KIT
UNTILL AFTER THEY INSTALL IT,
ON YOUR CREDIT CARD!!!!
